Advantages:-

  2. Durability
  3. Permeability
  4. Mouldability
  5. Ductility
  6. Economy
  7. Transportation
  8. Fire Resistance
  9. Seismic Resistance
Disadvantages:-
  1. R.C.C. structure are heavier then structure of other materials like wood glass and steel etc.
  2. R.C.C. needs lot of formwork, centering and shuttering to be fixed, thus require lot of site space and skilled labour.
  3. Concrete takes time to attain its full strength. Thus, R.C.C. structures can't be used immediately after construction unlike steel structures.

Welding is the method of locally melting the metals (sheets or plates – overlapping or butting) with intensive heating along with a filler metal or without it and allowing cooling them to form a coherent mass, thus creating a joint.
